Har Ki Pauri and the Brahma Kund
The stairs down to the main Ganga temple is called Har Ki Pauri. It is believed that at the time of churning of ocean, some of the nectar (amrit) dropped here and this place is called Brahma Kund and there is a holy tradition of bathing here. Asthi visarjan ghat (bone ash immersion pier) where hindus complete rituals of dispersing ashes of their deceased family members, is slightly further from brahm kund.
Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi Temple
Temple of Mansa Devi is located at Mount Shivalik in hills Bilwa, Haridwar. It is believed that Mansa devi is a form of mother goddess of power( Maha Shakti) and her name is given to her because she grant wishes to her devotees. Mansa Devi temple is some 800 meters away from Har Ki Pauri. There are two ways to go to Mansa Devi, a walking tour and the other by udan Ktole (rope way).
Ticket for rope way to Mansa Devi temple costs around 233 / – Rs per person. This cost includes ticket for rope way to temple and return for both Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi. Transport fee for going to chandi devi from mansa devi and return is included in ticket. It is advised to visit these temple via rope way as it is very convenient and person can enjoy scenic beauty of haridwar from rope way.
Chandi Devi temple is situated 3 km away from mansa devi temple. The temple is dedicated to Mother Chandika. You can trek or go by rope way to chandi devi temple. This temple is located on the hills of the neel mountain. Near the mountain, subsidiary stream of river Ganga following by the foots of neel mount is called the Neel Ganga. Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar gives a beautiful views of the city. Chants of “Jai Mata Di” constantly resonate on these mountains. Devotees have to wait in queues for hours to do darshan. There is nice arrangements for sitting and eating in cafeteria.
There are a lot of temples in haridwar including Maya Devi Temple which is dedicated to the Devi Maya, Daksh Mahadev Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Daksha Prajapati . Bharat Mata Temple is a temple of the modern age. It is an eight-storey temple. Haridwar is one of the very affordable holiday destination in northern India.

- Har Ki Pauri has different ghat for women to bath, which is maintained by Ganga sabha trust. There is no fee for bathing at Ghat. And free service of shoes keeping stalls.
- Rope way is a good option to visit Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi. Take combined ticket for rope way to both temples, it include transport charges as well and saves your time as you will not have stand in queue two times for taking tickets. Mansa Devi Temple and Chandi Devi temple premises have proper arrangement of food.
